Thomas A. Ackles

Hastings resident Thomas A. “Gus” Ackles, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings with Rev. Benjamin Hanne officiating. A private family burial with military rites by Hastings Military Honor Guard will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. with the family present Friday, July 25, at Butler Volland Funeral Home. Memorials to the family will be divided amongst the Southern Hills Junior Golf Program, Hastings Public Schools Foundation, and Adams Central School Foundation.
