Thomas Dixon

Hastings resident, Thomas E. Dixon, 47, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, June 9, 2010; 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 8, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Grace United Methodist Church or Alcoholics Anonymous.

Thomas was born September 9, 1962 in Hastings, Nebraska to William & Shirley (May) Dixon. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1980. On October 31, 1988 he married Debra Graning, and they later divorced. He worked as a salesman for various businesses in Hastings. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was involved with Alcoholics Anonymous, was an Eagle Scout, and played in several bands.

Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank & Nina Dixon and Howard & Nettie May; and one uncle, Donald "Doc" Dixon.
