Thomas "Tom" McIntire

Hastings resident Thomas M. “Tom” McIntire, 73, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established c/o Martin McIntire, PO Box 381, Beaver City, NE 68926. A book signing will be 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, and Thursday, September 13, at the funeral home.

Tom was born December 12, 1944, in Council Bluffs, IA to C. Ray & Thelma L. (Clark) McIntire. He graduated from Kearney High School and Kearney State College with a degree in History with an English minor. Tom married Kathryn (Kling) Locatis on August 2, 1980, in Kearney, NE.

Tom was employed as a teacher, private businessman, and insurance salesman. He was a historian and avid gun collector.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn McKean; and brother, Richard “Dickie” McIntire.
