Doniphan resident Tyron R.“Ty” Johnson,84, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Tiffany Square in Grand Island, NE.

Services will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 16th, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, NE. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date benefiting Faith Lutheran Church and Morrison Cancer Center in Hastings. Ty was born November 21, 1941, in Minden, NE, to Elmer and Opal (Barker) Johnson. He married Wilberta “Bert” (Zade) Johnson on November 13, 1966, and to this union 3 sons were born: Shawn, Lance, and Chad. Ty was a proud co-owner of A-1 Fiberglass, where his hard work, dedication, and integrity earned him the respect of everyone who knew him. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout the years. Outside of work, Ty found joy on the golf course and loved fishing and hunting, and spending winters in Arizona. He was known for his personality and his willingness to always help others when needed. His positive spirit made everyone feel appreciated and valued, and he had a remarkable ability to brighten the day of those around him. Ty was a deeply loving man who was a wonderful husband, extraordinary father, and beloved grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
