Vesta Butzirus

Memorial service will be Monday, March 17, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Private family burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2008; 1:00 P.M-9:00 P.M. family present 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mrs. Butzirus was born December 18, 1922 in Akron, Colorado to Elmer D. & Mary M. (Bowen) Moschel. She moved to Hastings with her family at an early age and graduated from Hastings High School in 1940. She attended Kearney State College from 1940-1943. On May 16, 1947, she married Ernest T. 'Junior' Butzirus and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1984. She was financial secretary for First Presbyterian Church from 1965-1990. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and past member of B.P.O Does and American Legion Auxiliary. Vicki was always there for her family and friends.

Mrs. Butzirus was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; son, Robert J.; two sisters and three brothers.
