Virgil Naggatz

Hastings resident Virgil L. Naggatz,75, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026, at his home.

There will be no services as Virgil’s wishes were to be cremated. Memorials may be given to the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Virgil was born March 23, 1951, in Hastings, NE, to Irvan and Abigail (Eckert) Naggatz. Virgil graduated from Hastings High School and went on to receive a degree in drafting from Central Community College. He married Deborah Pickinpaugh on June 5, 1971. Virgil worked at Hastings Energy Center as a plant mechanic before retiring in 2016. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout the years.

Virgil was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shana Hogan.
