W. Dean Rolls

Hastings resident W. Dean Rolls, 83, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.    

Dean was born February 27, 1941, in Ayr, NE to Kenneth and Vera (Mohlman) Rolls. He graduated from Trumbull High School in 1958 and attended South Missouri State. Dean married Neva Moriarty on August 18, 1963, in Paxton, NE, they enjoyed 60 years together. 

Dean owned and operated Jewelry Designs Studio for many years. He was a member for many years of the Adams County Planning and Zoning Committee. Dean loved spending time with his family, watching Nebraska football, hunting, fishing, and trips to Canada. He was very passionate about his jewelry business and he loved to design pieces and do custom work for people. 

 To honor Dean’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services. A Celebration of Life and a private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. 

Dean was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Keith Rolls.
