Wayne E. "Eddy" Borrell

Hastings resident Wayne E. “Eddy” Borrell, 57, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Bryan East in Lincoln, NE.

Services will be at 2:30 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2026, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, NE. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m., with the family present 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Butler Volland Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Eddy was born January 12, 1969, in Omaha, NE, to Richard and Peggy (Hartman) Borrell. He graduated from Hastings High School. He was a contractor and worked in the construction field. Above all, Eddy was a devoted father and a proud Papa who cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was known for his kind heart, generosity, and willingness to put others before himself. Eddy also had a deep love for motorcycles and enjoyed the freedom and adventure of the open road. His love for family, passion for life, and caring nature will be remembered and treasured by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard Borrell; brother, Terry Borrell; granddaughter, Reagen Borrell; grandparents, Delbert & Ida Hartman, and Lee & Helen Borrell.
