Wendell Wallin

Hastings resident, Wendell Wallin, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, August 16, 2014; 1:30 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Juniata, Nebraska with Pastor Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, rural Juniata, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Eagles Aerie #592 for Diabetes Research.

Wendell was born November 21, 1942 in Newman Grove, Nebraska to John A. & Beulah O. (Haave) Wallin. He graduated from Hastings High School. Wendell married Carol Uden on March 18, 1960; she preceded him in death on July 23, 1998. He worked at Metz Baking Company for 32 years and was a member of Eagles for many years, and was a member and President for BCT Union where he was very active from 1963 until the present.

Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Carol Wallin.
