Yvonne Mangers

Hastings resident Yvonne M. Mangers, 84, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Bethany Home in Minden, NE.

Rosary is 6 p.m. Sunday, December 22, at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools Foundation or St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday with family greeting friends 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Yvonne was born September 1, 1935, in Roseland, NE to Alfred P. & Angeline M. (Hoffman) Miller. She married LeRoy A. Mangers on June 14, 1955, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings; he preceded her in death on June 1, 2005.

Yvonne was a nurses aide, homemaker, and secretary for her husband’s company M & S Builders. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Altar Society, Right to Life, and Adams County Election Board. Some of her hobbies included bowling, fishing, golfing, playing the penny slots at various casinos, Keno, traveling, camping, playing the piano, and she was an avid Husker and K.C. Royals fan. Yvonne enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities and spending time with her family.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy A. Mangers; infant daughter, Pamela; granddaughter, Rachel Walker; brothers, Ralph, Ray, Lou, and Daniel Miller; and sister, Carol Lantz.
