Zachary Daniel "Zach" Sidlo

Former Hastings resident Zachary Daniel “Zach” Sidlo of Elkhorn, 36, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at his home.

Memorial Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 3, at Evangelical Free Church in Hastings with Pastor Matt Sass officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Zach was born on March 23, 1989, a miracle baby as Dr. Tonniges called him, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, NE to Daniel G. and Vivian (Kinney) Sidlo. He graduated from Hastings High School in 2007 then attended the University of Nebraska and Central Community College, before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bellevue University.

Zach was employed at Circo Enterprises as Vice President of Operations. His coworkers said he was the best and was a joy to work with.

Zach will be missed by many. He was kind, thoughtful, loving, humble, and a gentle soul; he would look out for you if you needed a friend when others let you down. He will be especially missed by his nieces and nephew, who always loved hanging out with Uncle Zach. He was their hero. When Zach was younger, he loved traveling with his grandparents and hunting with his grandpa. Zach obtained a blackbelt in Taekwondo. Zach also enjoyed fishing, baseball, golf, football, and any Husker sport.

Zach was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gordon D. Sidlo, Wallace & Bitha Kinney, and uncle, Richard “Dick” Kinney.
