Inez Kleier

Hastings resident Inez M. Kleier, 92, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Tiffany Square Rehabilitation & Care Center, Grand Island, NE.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 24, at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. with family present 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Inez was born July 16, 1926, in Adams County, NE to Louie & Marie W. (Blomenkamp) Kohl. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1944. Inez married Alfred F. Kleier on April 18, 1954, at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church; he preceded her in death on January 11, 1990. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Hastings National, now Wells Fargo.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred F. Kleier; and two brothers, Walter and Albert Kohl.
