In 1951, Livingston-Butler merged with Volland Funeral Home, which had been in Hastings since 1913. The new business moved to the corner of Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue and then moved to its present location at 1225 North Elm Avenue in 1981. In 2000, a Visitation Chapel was opened in Doniphan, Nebraska to serve area residents.
